Pharaoh Hounds are one of the oldest breeds of domesticated dogs available, and are best suited to experienced dog owners. Originating in Malta where they were bred to hunt rabbits, Pharaoh Hounds like Rufus can run up to 30 miles per hour and have been known to jump more than six feet in the air.

Rufus is as rambunctious as his breed would suggest, which his owner, Sara Rehnmark, model, actress, dog photographer and hit blogger of Raising The Ruff, can attest to. Advertising

“He's a funny dog that smiles on command (and when he's happy), enjoys having spaz-outs,” she says. But he can also often be found “Playing at the beach and sleeping.”

Rufus receives at least two long walks a day and numerous hours of playtime, so it's no surprise that when he finally falls asleep, he's out like a light. That's when Sara's fun starts. Advertising

“I think my dog is hilarious,” Sara says. “He's been a goofball ever since he was a puppy. I take pictures and videos of Rufus because he cracks me up and makes me smile!!! I hope he'll crack you up too.”

That's right! She regularly dresses Rufus up as an adventurer while he takes his naps, and it's as hilarious as it sounds. Advertising
